JOB TITLE: Associate Architect

 

Cortner Architectural Company specializes in providing architectural services throughout the Inland Northwest in the commercial, education, healthcare and transportation sectors. We are presently looking for a dynamic team player for the Associate Architect position. Our firm offers growth opportunities, experience toward licensure, and exposure to the entire project process – from concept/design through construction and project closeout.

JOB OVERVIEW

Associate architects are responsible for the production of high quality construction documentation in collaboration with, and under the supervision of a licensed project architect.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and manage the production of construction drawings for bidding and construction

• Conduct ongoing review of the documents for accuracy and completeness

• Complete assigned work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner

• Conduct product research

• Assist with construction administration tasks (site visits, RFI responses, submittal and punch list reviews)

• Prepare conceptual renderings/presentation materials

• Pursue a license to become an architect

• Pursue a growing understanding of program, code, and agency requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• BS Architecture, 1+ years of applied experience in an office environment

• Strong technical and analytical skills required

• Proficient in AutoDesk Building Design Suite/Architectural AutoCAD and Revit

• Proficient in Sketchup (for 3-D modeling) and Adobe Photoshop

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

• Strong verbal, written, graphic communication and organization skills

• Positive, energetic and fun team player who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment

• Self-motivated, independent thinker with the ability to work as a part of a team
